Local move within Dallas, TX

Dishonest.

This company has different locations, but all have the same DOT number. I spoke to Justin Brown, and he assured me the cost would not exceed his quote. I was very specific and clear about the dimensions of the move. Three days before the move, the “driver” contacts me and asks for pictures. The diver raised the price by $1,000 dollars. It turned out he was the owner of the company, and said the total amount charged would be contingent on how many hours his workers took to load the truck. I saw other reviews where these movers, added charges, and held for ransom customer valuables until the customer paid.

The move was outside my price range. Even when I changed it from a long distance to a local move, the “owner” did not change the original quote. The move would have been about a mile away. I opted to lose the deposit than to keep dealing with the company.

So, in short, Justin gives you a really good quote, three days before the move, the boss calls you and jacks up the price, then you can either lose your deposit, or continue with the process and risk losing your goods if you do not pay added charges.

Very dishonest, not fair to the client, should explain better how they conduct business.

Long-distance move from Houston, TX to San Jose, CA

Please Read Carefully Before Making Business With This Company!

I quoted my moving from Houston, Texas to San Jose, California in September. The moving date was scheduled on mid-October. At First I contacted by Donavan M, Moving Consultant, Quality Moving Services, 8445672990. He explained me that my belongings will be picked up at the date of my convenience at my place. Also we agreed with Donavan that my furniture will be delivered on SPECIFIC DAY on my convenience because the company has the premises where it can be stored until we are ready to accept the items. Quote was pretty attractive and I agreed.

On the day of pick up the movers showed up and claimed the price ~$650 HIGHER than it was estimated and this is 1/3 higher of the initial estimate!! They told us that gave us an estimate based on sq. feet it's supposed to take however actually it took more. I accept that, it may the case BUT HOW ACTUAL PRICE MAY BE 1/3 HIGHER? What they really do - they attract the customer offering lower prices as compared to competitors but when they show up - they increase the price and people have to accept it since they don't have other choice (e.g. we had a flight next day). I asked to give us detailed breakdown of items as they were estimated vs actual volume and we agreed that they will provide it via email. I just wanted some justification of price increase.

This was not the only surprise with these guys, please read further, it's becoming only more interesting. As soon as furniture was picked up - Donavan disappeared and another person appeared - Ran (i am assuming his last name is Ovadia) who lacks essential English business writing skills, politeness and general adequacy. He named himself the owner of the company and as per bbb.org record it seems correct.

When we chose our apartments in California I emailed to the company that I am ready to accept my items. And now this Ran told that they are not able to deliver out belongings on specific date because they don't control the delivery schedule - the only thing what they can do here - to notify us when it's sent from their storage in Houston. After it's sent the usual term of delivery is up to ~25 business days. I asked him to contact Donavan and check our agreements but he refused and told he is the owner of the company and knows about our agreements. After I noted that I even did not speak with him during my negotiations and I know better whatever was agreed between me and the salesman (Donavan M). After that he offered to buy the exact day delivery option for $3000 ALTHOUGH IT WAS ALREADY AGREED and it was important for me because missing even 1 work day created difficulties for me. That's why it was one of the first things I agreed with the salesperson, but the OWNER (Mr. Ovadia) DID NOT CARE ABOUT HIS OWN COMPANY COMMITMENTS.

On delivery day we found that few items were completely broken. The bed frame was broken into 2 parts (total loss), the dresser had pretty deep ugly scratches, the living room lamp was sawed into 2 parts and bended in 2 places (total loss) and finally our sofa had 1 broken leg (significant repair is required). At the same day I made pics and send it to self-named owner and he “submitted a claim”. And if you recall we agreed that they will email me the detailed breakdown of their estimate vs actual (please see paragraph 2) – so this Mr. Ovadia told me that if I want that – I have to pay $120, again $120 for justification of $650 price increase although it was agreed they will give it for free!!

The coverage is $0.6/article/lb. Since bed frame + mattress are considered 1 article, and dresser and sofa are pretty heavy themselves so we expected pretty decent amount of refund. And guess what – after a month of waiting and 2 my reminders Ran told me that my claim is approved for $35. So if you do simple math: 35/0.6 = 58 lb – this is the weight of damaged items per Ran. Honestly after that in addition to his general inadequacy I started to doubt in his basic math skills. From his explanation sofa and lamp were excluded at all. He did not even say how they came up with the idea of $35 refund. The only thing he mentioned – THEY DON’T HAVE AN INSURANCE COMPANY” and “We process claim ourself at the office and the girl that in charge told me the decision”. Can you imagine this answer FROM THE OWNER of the company? The guy did not return to me after I asked about the justification. Last thing he said – “the decision is final”. This is RIDICULOUS and represents COMPLETE INCOMPETENCE.

So whoever reads this review – please don’t do any business with these people. The quote may seem very attractive and competitive – remember what happened to me and don’t do the same mistakes. And if you see that you have been contacted by DONAVAN or especially RAN – please drop the phone immediately, these guys will not treat you as any sort of customer. Seriously, think before dealing with them.
We are going to file a claim in the court, these guys will pay for lawyer costs and my furniture.

Long-distance move from Oklahoma City, OK to Fort Collins, CO

DO NOT USE!!

All the other bad reviews you see are absolutely correct!!They damaged items during my move from Oklahoma to Colorado, and have not responded to any calls or requests for updated information. The claims company I have to use does not recognize them in their database, which leads me to believe that they are not insured. They increase my moving quote last minute by over $1500 upon pickup and claimed that the original quote and space was insufficient. Upon trying to pay the remaining balance on delivery my BANK flagged them as a scam, which was why I should have known then what they really were!!

Liars. Scam Artists. Thieves.

This company is a complete scam. They are liars, thieves, and just overall scum. Any positive review is guaranteed fake. Just take a look at their Facebook reviews where the reviews were made the same day as the profile was made. THIS IS FRAUD. Misleading customers into thinking they are getting a good service when they end up getting scammed. They initially quoted $1400, I thought that was too good to be true so had them up the cubic feet. They refused to make a home visit to review the items. I even sent a detailed list of measurements of my furniture. I ended up paying $3000. The "Senior Moving Coordinator" Tom Thunder spewed lie after lie to get my business. Stated my furniture would be going directly to Tennessee, (it took over two weeks to get here, and the owner threatened he could hold it for 21 days), there would be no long carry fee (paid $300 extra for this), stated I had insurance up to $750,000 based on value not weight, (now trying to say he will give me .60 per pound to the total of $45) underquoted, etc. They gave me a TWO DAY time window, either Friday or Saturday, and I had to hunt them down to get the time and day. Stated I would have 5 wardrobe boxes, NONE were included. They took my deposit and within 2 days I had multiple fraud charges on it totaling $700. They showed up in an unmarked moving van, did not provide the proper paperwork required by the Federal Motor Carrier Service Administration, and said it would be an extra $1000 over what they quoted. EVERYTHING ARRIVED SMELLING LIKE SMOKE AND MUSTY AS IF IT SAT IN THE TRUCK OR A STORAGE UNIT THAT WAS NOT AC CONTROLED. They stole boxes from me, damaged and broke multiple items including my Great Grandmothers Antique Venetian Mirror, and my brand new very expensive bed. Dishes, glasses, decorations, even HEAVY DUTY storage containers demolished. After all of that they hired a company I never signed a contract with (Precise Moving & Storage, US DOT 2439030, a father and son team who were very kind, and thorough, and sympathetic about all of the issues the MONSTER who owns Quality Moving Services has caused. Yanni, who works as an employee of this poor excuse of a human being was also sympathetic but stated he could do nothing because of his owner.) Long story short, if you want to have a MOVING NIGHTMARE, be lied too, scammed, spend a lot of money, and have your things stolen, broken, and deal with the most unprofessional company pick "Quality" (Hilarious) Moving Services.

Burn you stuff!

Better to burn you stuff and collect insurance than this guy move it. he's a one man band, he gets issued jobs from online brokers, he comes and triples the quote - but when you ask to measure the volume, he gets extremely defensive. he has no respect for the state of your belongings.
everything I got moved came out severely disfigured on the other end - and of course trying to get him to reimburse for damages gets no where. (i really wish I was exaggerating, but I am NOT).
better you burn your stuff, collect insurance money and re-purchase the stuff on the other end.
